University of Denver Welcomes Creech as Vice Chancellor for Athletics

University of Denver and Turnkey Search are proud to announce the hire of Karlton Creech as Vice Chancellor for Athletics, Recreation and Ritchie Center Operations. Creech will report directly to the University Chancellor, Rebecca Chopp. In his new role, Creech will be responsible for the overall operations of the school’s intercollegiate athletics program and its 17 varsity sports. In addition, he will develop and expand the recreation as well as wellness programs. 

The position is a perfect fit for Creech, as he stated, “The University of Denver has everything you would want; a tremendous academic reputation along with a national championship-winning athletics program.”

Creech has extensive knowledge in college athletics, having previously served as the Director of Athletics for the University of Maine and having held senior roles at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University. A graduate of North Carolina State University and Liberty University, she earned a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in Management and Leadership.
