University of Akron Chooses Tom Arth as Head Football Coach


Following a comprehensive national search led by Turnkey Search Managing Director Gene DeFilippo, the University of Akron has announced the hire of Tom Arth as their next Head Football Coach. An Ohio native, Arth joins Akron after two seasons leading the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Arth also spent 4 years as Head Football Coach at his alma mater John Carroll University where he posted a 40-8 record. Prior to his coaching career, Arth was a quarterback in the NFL, CFL, Arena League and NFL Europe.
