Turnkey Search Notches Assist Helping the Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center Hire Valerie Camillo
Turnkey Search, a division of Turnkey Sports & Entertainment, is thrilled to notch an assist as the executive search firm working with Comcast Spectacor, parent company of the Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center for the hire of a new President of Business Operations. Today the Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center announced the hiring of Valerie Camillo as President of Business Operations. Ms. Camillo shall oversee all day-to-day business operations of the NHL Flyers, NLL Wings, 250+ events annually at the Wells Fargo Center including the relationship with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Camillo will relocate to Philadelphia after several high-growth years at the MLB Washington Nationals where she served as Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer. Ms. Camillo has extensive experience having also worked for NBA Team Marketing & Business Operations (TMBO), the NBA’s highly regarded in-house management consulting group which also produced 76ers/Harris-Blitzer CEO Scott O’Neill and also Ilitch Holdings (Detroit Tigers/Detroit Red Wings) Group President Chris Granger. Prior to TMBO, Ms. Camillo served for many years as a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton and IBM Global Services.
The announcement today comes with great significance on the gender equity front as Ms. Camillo becomes one of the first female Presidents in professional team sports history. Other female team Presidents include Kim Pegula of the Buffalo Sabres/Buffalo Bills, Gillian Zucker of the Los Angeles Clippers and previously Amy Trask of the Oakland Raiders and Susan O’Malley of the Washington Bullets.
