Position Summary

The Vice President, Media North America (“VP”) is a newly-created role within the DAZN Media division that will be responsible for leading the Company’s Media business across North America. The incumbent will ensure best business practices are put in place and manage revenue growth and top-class service levels. The VP will oversee the programmatic, partnerships, and advertising operations teams, leading with a true player-coach mentality. With a sales tendency and a leadership mentality, the VP will be the main driver taking DAZN North America to the next level.

The VP will serve as an ambassador for DAZN at a senior level within the agency and brand ecosystem, taking the business to the next level for both revenue and creative output. The VP will possess the charisma, innovation, and creativity that matches the aggressively growing challenger brand that DAZN is.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop multi-platform strategies and executions that position DAZN as an innovator in the ever-changing media landscape; understand and anticipate the rights landscape in an effort to continue establishing DAZN as the premier brand in over-the-top sports consumption.

  • Maximize media trading and programmatic relationships with agencies and generate maximum exposure with decision makers and clients.

  • Serve as the division business driver, relentlessly analyzing industry metrics with an unwavering commitment to anticipate future trends that ensure the maximization of company offerings, distribution, partnership opportunities and cutting-edge company policies.

  • Deliver best in class trade agreements with agency partners.

  • Create, promote, and grow partnership opportunities with creative content-led solutions; develop, present, and negotiate full-scope marketing, advertising, content and partnership programming on behalf of DAZN.

  • Lead, develop, and manage both up and down to executive leadership and staff; establish a culture of inclusivity, professional development, growth, and accountability throughout the department, and positively contribute to the overall company culture.

  • Deliver the North America revenue budget and work closely with the SVP Americas and finance team to manage costs to ensure bottom line growth as well as maximize top line revenues; collaborate successfully with diverse groups under the larger DAZN Group umbrella in order to create and further develop synergies.

Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements

  • Proven track record of overachieving revenue targets and growing team performance in the North American sports and media industry.

  • Established expertise in the media sales or related marketplace.

  • Proven leadership ability as well as the ability to work as a part of an overall department; experience in managing senior managers and teams across multiple locations within North America.

  • Strategic and visionary thinker and willing executor.

  • Strong conversationalist who understands when to lead the conversation and when to listen.

  • Commercially astute with regards to deal making and incentive programs to ensure DAZN is a must buy for agencies and brands.

  • Ability to manage diverse expectations and collaborate with a wide range of departments.

  • Knowledge of the sports and tech industries as well as broadcast trading models and digital cross selling initiatives.

  • Advanced understanding of the media, broadcasting, streaming, and advertising landscapes.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

  • Extensive experience of delivering sales budget as well as managing and motivating a winning team; ability to inspire people around a shared vision and focus the team on a common goal.

  • Ability to deliver insights into the future of programmatic to lead and advise internal and external stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
