Background:

Sacramento is not only California’s state capital, it is one of the fastest-growing, most diverse big cities in the country. The city has embraced the innovative, technology-led energy of Northern California, and its basketball team, the Sacramento Kings, is no different. The Kings’ ownership group is led by Vivek Ranadivé, an entrepreneur, technology visionary, author, and philanthropist, who serves as the embodiment of that same vision and has made it the heartbeat of the franchise. He has led the advancement and use of real-time technology in business operations and decision making. Since buying the Kings in 2013, the team has invested over $1B back into the city while bringing that cutting-edge mindset in hopes of delivering a Championship to the people of Sacramento.

Built in 2016, the Golden 1 Center sits in the epicenter of innovation, technology, and entrepreneurialism. The Golden 1 Center is the world’s most connected indoor sports and entertainment venue in the country. The facility is powered by solar energy and is the first arena in the NBA to have a 4K Ultra HD LED video board. The 745,000 square ft. arena was named 2017 Sports Facility of the Year by Sports Business Journal.

Today, the Kings have an incredibly strong and young core featuring future stars such as Buddy Hield, De’Aaron Fox, Harry Giles, and 2018 2nd overall draft pick Marvin Bagley III.
